Player Equipment
All GYSA players are required to wear shin guards and soccer cleats (no metal spikes allowed) to all team practices and games. We strongly encourage each player to bring their own soccer ball to each practice. Please write their name on their ball. Players should bring sufficient drinking water to each game and practice. The GYSA does not provide water to our players. Absolutely No Jewelry is allowed at practices or games. Please plan getting pierced ears accordingly.

Uniforms
GYSA Team Uniforms are required for all Travel Teams (G4 and older). The full uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) must be worn or the player will not be allowed to play in an ECYSA travel game. In-Town players are strongly encouraged to wear their full uniform but will be allowed to play without it. Your GYSA Soccer Uniform comes with heat pressed numbers and letters. To avoid damage to your uniform, such as numbers peeling, follow the Uniform Care Instructions found at the bottom of this page for the proper care of your GYSA Soccer Uniform.

Travel Program Uniforms
If your son or daughter is registered as a GYSA traveling soccer player (U10 and older), he/she needs a GYSA Soccer Uniform. Players wearing anything other than the approved GYSA Soccer Uniform will not be permitted to play for Georgetown during ECYSA (Essex County Youth Soccer) games. If you have a uniform from the a prior season season (starting Fall 2010) that is still in good condition, you can continue to use it.

The approved GYSA Soccer Uniform includes:

• Jersey: Royal blue, black and white with a black/white player number on the back.
• Shorts: Black & white.
• Socks: Solid black.

Uniform fittings and purchases can be done only at our approved uniform supplier, Team and League Outfitters (formerly the Soccer Shoppe). Your order will be placed the day of the fitting and you will receive an email when your uniform is ready for pickup. In order to ensure that your uniform is ready before the start of the soccer season, please visit Team and League Outfitters at least 3 weeks before the first game of the season. You do NOT need to know what team your son or daughter is on prior to going for a fitting and placing your order, so please do not wait. Orders will not be accepted via phone.

The cost of a Travel Program Uniform is $70.00. Payment is required upon order (fitting day), all forms of payment are accepted, with the exception of AMEX.

G2 Soccer Uniforms
Starting in the Fall, all U8 players will be provided a full team uniform. This includes a colorful, athletic mesh jersey, black soccer shorts, and black soccer socks. These uniforms are intended to be worn for 2 consecutive seasons.

Kindergarten Clinic Uniforms
As part of the player registration fee, GYSA provides each kindergarten clinic player with a clinic jersey. Jerseys are distributed at the 1st and 2nd weeks of clinic. Clinic jerseys are NOT required to participate but do give our beginner players the sense that they are part of a team.

Little Kickers Uniforms
As part of the player registration fee, GYSA provides each pre-schooler player with a clinic t-shirt. T-shirts are distributed at the 1st and 2nd weeks of clinic. Clinic Ts are NOT required to participate.
