 GAA Baseball: Evaluations for the 2010 Season

Monday, January 25th and Wednesday, January 27th 

Location - Strike One on Route 1 North in Danvers

It is very important that players attend the evaluation. If you are unable to be there at your designated time, you may attend at another time listed below:

Monday, January 25th
2nd graders:             5:30 pm – 6:10 pm
3rd graders:              6:10 pm – 6:50 pm
4th graders:              6:50 pm – 7:30 pm 

Wednesday, January 27th
5th graders:              8:00 pm – 8:45 pm (see note below)
6th graders:              8:45 pm – 9:30 pm
(see note below)

Please arrive at least 10 Minutes before your scheduled time. Bring your Glove and be ready to workout.  Bats and Helmets will be provided.

Note: Georgetown will be entering a team of 5th and 6th graders into the Northern Essex Baseball League (NEBL).  These evaluations for 5th and 6th graders will be used as a basis to choose players for the team and an additional tryout to complete the roster may take place at a later date. Players chosen for the NEBL team will also play for their assigned Majors’ team.

Think Spring!!!  Don’t miss Georgetown’s Annual Lacrosse Sign-ups!!

The 2010 Spring Lacrosse sign-ups will be held over the next couple of weeks:

Saturday, Jan. 9th - at BOTH the Georgetown Penn Brook School AND the Georgetown Middle/High School from 10-12:00pm!! 
Wednesday, Jan. 13th – Georgetown Middle/High School – 6:30-8:00pm!!
Saturday Jan. 16th - at BOTH the Georgetown Penn Brook School AND the Georgetown Middle/High School from 10-12:00pm!! 

All necessary forms will be available on site for your convenience.  The cost to play GAA lacrosse is $75.00/player with a family cap of $175.00.   US lacrosse membership forms will also be available at no additional fee to the family.

The GAA Lacrosse program will include both boys and girls teams for the following age groups:

Clinic Boys: – First and Second graders
Clinic Girls: – First and Second graders
U11 Boys: - Third and Fourth graders
U11 Girls: - Third and Fourth graders
U13 Boys: - Fifth and Sixth graders
U13 Girls: - Fifth and Sixth graders
U15 Boys: - Seventh and Eighth graders
U15 Girls: - Seventh and Eighth graders

The Georgetown Girls Lacrosse youth program will welcome interested players from neighboring out of town players that do not have a feeder program within their town. 

Please note:  There will be no on-line registrations this year for the GAA Lacrosse program.  For those that cannot attend the above registration dates they will be able to register with Anne Blythe, GAA Lax Registrar.  You may contact her by email at aslblythe@verizon.net or 78-352-8345.  She will provide you with all pertinent paperwork.

GAA Announces new Online Store!

Georgetown Athletic Association has teamed up with Athletic Enterprises (Georgetown Soccer Shop) to offer GAA sports and apparel items for all Sports. Please check out our new on line store to find your favorite Sport per season. Click on a GAA sport to find out what is new and also what other Georgetown Athletes will be wearing this season. If you are looking for items as Christmas presents please be sure to order by November 20, 2009 to assure delivery & pick up at the Soccer Shop before December 15, 2009.
